attended the f.a. centre of excellence and represented the wharfedale and airedale district, and west yorkshire schools at football.
played semi pro football from the age of 17 for farsley celtic and guiseley afc.

| 1998 – 2001: |
studied a bachelor of science degree in ‘physical activity, exercise at leeds metropolitan university and graduated with honors in 2001.

| 2001 - 2003: |
educated at st peter & st paul’s school and st. mary’s comprehensive school menston.
2001; wrote down on a piece of paper a list of things he wanted to do in life and subsequently set about achieving them.
fulfilled a boyhood ambition by scoring in the f.a. cup for home town guiseley afc.
sustained a series knee injury playing football, snapping both anterior cruciate and medial ligaments, and severely tearing cartilage. underwent two major operations to reconstruct the knee and self rehabilitated to return to football.

subsequently retired from football in pursuit of greater adventure and to focus on the fulfillment of life ambitions.
